All I Want for Christmas (As a lady in her 20s)

The holidays are complicated; especially when you're in your 20s. The stage of life that you are in may vary drastically depending on a variety of things. People may consider you hard to shop for. People may not know what to get you. So many people ask me what I want for birthdays, holidays, and other important events. I am working on compiling a list of practical gifts for people in a stage of life similar to mine. I am a 20 something. I have a dog. I live alone. When I'm not working, I am spending time with my friends and family. I prioritize self care. I have a variety of hobbies, and its sometimes hard for the people around me to keep track of where I am, what I'm doing, and why. If this is you or anyone you know, keep reading. You will probably find something you'll love.  1. Apple Air Tag I'm a busy lady, and I forget things. I have the apple watch and an iphone, so I'm constantly pinging my phone. The apple AirTag basically makes it so you can ping whate...

Raise the Bar

This is not a post about being hyper independent so that you can minimize the potential of being hurt by others. Pump your brakes babe. This is a mindset shift that I had to go through to help me build confidence. So if you’re looking to change your mindset keep reading.   I was doing some self reflection, and I realized that had 3 major flaws that kept me from being confident in my self. I was walking around pretending to be a happy and healthy, but really I was full of fear and self doubt. These three flaws had me in a chokehold, but we are working on loosening their grip and moving towards a higher vibration. When we raise the bar a little higher we raise our vibration a little higher. Over the next 3 weeks we will explore these concepts. Let’s get to the list and to Week 1 of Raise the Bar.   I was too easily impressed by things that were obviously mediocre.   I thought more about what other people were thinking about me than what I was thinking about me.   I rar...

All About Love

I took a break. I was approaching real burn out in my career and personal life. I moved, I traveled, and I healed. Wellness is a journey and it requires consistency and dedication. I had to go new places and visit places I thought I’d never return to. I had to take some long looks in the mirror and identify ways that I was holding myself back from being the best version of myself. This was a special journey that I really had never experienced before. New knowledge comes from new experiences. Lessons I’ve been learning I will be sharing here. I’m excited to share a few things that helped me in hopes that I helps just one person. This is where my heart has lead me and this is what my higher self does. I do this in honor of her.   The best version of myself is creative and strives to find outlets that allow her to showcase her works. The best version of myself has a soft life. She is not constantly pulled into situations as a fixer. She can just exist. She can enjoy the simple pleasur...

Magical Tip of the Week: June 9th, 2023

Playing Dress Up If you have a packed schedule like I do, I’m sure you start your day by getting up, getting dressed, and going out into the world. At the beginning of the year, one of my goals was to take time picking out my outfits and be intentional about how I present myself. This has lead to me spending my time intentionally thinking about the kind of person I want to be. Some days I am a creative, and my outfits reflect that. Other days, I’m embodying peace and comfort. Even on my lazy days, I get dressed. I may just put on a track suit, but it is an intentional choice that I make. Get up and get dressed up. This is my challenge to anyone that wants to be more intentional about how they are perceived and how they perceive themselves.

Magical Tip of the Week: May 26th, 2023

POETRY Listen to it, Read it, Write it. Poetry is the foundation of spell work. Rhythm and rhyme can soothe the soul in a way that nothing else can. Listen to the rhythm and flow of your favorite author, read their lyrics, and let it inspire you to write your own. When you write something down, something magical happens. It becomes apart of your story. It can be revisited and reworked. It becomes a reminder of where you once were. It is a stamp in time. Writing is powerful, and you can learn so much from letting yourself write your truth. When it comes to spell casting, think about affirmations. Affirmations or "I am" statements are fundamental to shifting your thinking. The more you write them, the more you say them. The more you say them, the more you think them. The more you think them, the more you believe them. Poetry is a way to trick your mind into shifting it's reality. It is also a way for you to begin controlling your reality. This week being listening, reading...

Magical Tip of the Week May 12, 2023

Feelings are Temporary. I have been in therapy for years, but this week the most groundbreaking sentence was said to my by my therapist. She told me that feelings are temporary, but what we believe is long lasting. I have always had big, all-consuming feelings. I have a hard time separating my feelings from the feelings of those around me. I have a hard time coming back down after working myself up, but this small shift in thinking has truly helped. She made it very clear that my affirmations are my beliefs despite what I am feelings when I say them. I believe that I have peace, I am beautiful, I am abundant, I am loved, I am healthy, I am enough, and that I have genuine community. I tell myself these things regularly. I believe these things to be true, but I often feel things that challenge these beliefs. I sometimes feel frustrated or that I am lacking in some are, but that does not change my core belief that I have peace and I am abundant. I may feel at odds with a member of my comm...

Take the Next Step

Take the Next Step When I do not know what to do, I choose to do one thing that feels right. Sometimes it is making a cup of tea or calling a friend. I do not always know what to do, but that does not keep me from doing something. There is always a step that can be taken. For me, low stakes actions are so comforting. I can do one small thing for my health that leads to major differences. I crave a sense of control, and knowing that I can do one small thing that helps me feel in control is so affirming. Taking a shower, calling a friend, reading a book, or choosing to rest. By setting an alarm for 30 minutes or 1 hour, I feel accomplished. I feel like I made a choice for my wellness. To anyone that feels like that I losing control, I challenge you to take one step. Taken whatever step you need for your wellness. Light a candle, cry, curse, or take a break. Whatever your next step is, make it consciously and confidently because it is your choice. You get to take back control of your...

Magical Tip of the Week May 5th, 2023

We all have a magic in us. For some it is a smile or the right words at the right time. For others it is manifestation and divine readings. This segment is all about sharing  something magical from the prior week. *Making tea is so much easier than I thought, and drinking tea mixtures I've made myself makes me feel more magical.* If you have a pot and running water, you can make your own teas. I don't know why I thought it required more than this, but it really doesn't. I recently have been learning more about health and wellness, and one part of my wellness journey is taking herbs and eating more fruits and vegetables. I started eating more vegetables and fruits, but I felt like I was producing way more waste. I had a hard time figuring out what I could do with the scraps until I realized I could boil them in water and make tea/juice. I throw things into a pot and just drink the juice often now. I also throw any fruits and veggies that are about to go bad into my juicer an...

The Healing Power Of Being Heard

Everyone wants to be heard. Imagine two children arguing, and only one gets to tell their side of the story. This hurts. This creates a narrative in their head that their voice, story, and experiences are not as important as others. Maybe you are one of those people. Maybe you are someone that feels like their story has only existed in the confines of your mind. Your existence has only ever been validated by you. You probably tend to overshare and then feel a sense of guild when you realize it. You may have an internal monologue with yourself, but rarely share these thoughts and experiences with anyone. I imagine that the best story tellers, song writers, talk show hosts, podcasters, youtubers, and professional speakers are people that desire to be heard. Even if it is just for 3 minutes or 1,000 pages. We all want to be heard; we all want to feel heard. This is where a professional listener comes in. Take the time to just talk to someo...
