Magical Tip of the Week: May 26th, 2023

POETRY Listen to it, Read it, Write it. Poetry is the foundation of spell work. Rhythm and rhyme can soothe the soul in a way that nothing else can. Listen to the rhythm and flow of your favorite author, read their lyrics, and let it inspire you to write your own. When you write something down, something magical happens. It becomes apart of your story. It can be revisited and reworked. It becomes a reminder of where you once were. It is a stamp in time. Writing is powerful, and you can learn so much from letting yourself write your truth. When it comes to spell casting, think about affirmations. Affirmations or "I am" statements are fundamental to shifting your thinking. The more you write them, the more you say them. The more you say them, the more you think them. The more you think them, the more you believe them. Poetry is a way to trick your mind into shifting it's reality. It is also a way for you to begin controlling your reality. This week being listening, reading...

Magical Tip of the Week May 12, 2023

Feelings are Temporary. I have been in therapy for years, but this week the most groundbreaking sentence was said to my by my therapist. She told me that feelings are temporary, but what we believe is long lasting. I have always had big, all-consuming feelings. I have a hard time separating my feelings from the feelings of those around me. I have a hard time coming back down after working myself up, but this small shift in thinking has truly helped. She made it very clear that my affirmations are my beliefs despite what I am feelings when I say them. I believe that I have peace, I am beautiful, I am abundant, I am loved, I am healthy, I am enough, and that I have genuine community. I tell myself these things regularly. I believe these things to be true, but I often feel things that challenge these beliefs. I sometimes feel frustrated or that I am lacking in some are, but that does not change my core belief that I have peace and I am abundant. I may feel at odds with a member of my comm...

Take the Next Step

Take the Next Step When I do not know what to do, I choose to do one thing that feels right. Sometimes it is making a cup of tea or calling a friend. I do not always know what to do, but that does not keep me from doing something. There is always a step that can be taken. For me, low stakes actions are so comforting. I can do one small thing for my health that leads to major differences. I crave a sense of control, and knowing that I can do one small thing that helps me feel in control is so affirming. Taking a shower, calling a friend, reading a book, or choosing to rest. By setting an alarm for 30 minutes or 1 hour, I feel accomplished. I feel like I made a choice for my wellness. To anyone that feels like that I losing control, I challenge you to take one step. Taken whatever step you need for your wellness. Light a candle, cry, curse, or take a break. Whatever your next step is, make it consciously and confidently because it is your choice. You get to take back control of your...

Magical Tip of the Week May 5th, 2023

We all have a magic in us. For some it is a smile or the right words at the right time. For others it is manifestation and divine readings. This segment is all about sharing  something magical from the prior week. *Making tea is so much easier than I thought, and drinking tea mixtures I've made myself makes me feel more magical.* If you have a pot and running water, you can make your own teas. I don't know why I thought it required more than this, but it really doesn't. I recently have been learning more about health and wellness, and one part of my wellness journey is taking herbs and eating more fruits and vegetables. I started eating more vegetables and fruits, but I felt like I was producing way more waste. I had a hard time figuring out what I could do with the scraps until I realized I could boil them in water and make tea/juice. I throw things into a pot and just drink the juice often now. I also throw any fruits and veggies that are about to go bad into my juicer an...

The Healing Power Of Being Heard

Everyone wants to be heard. Imagine two children arguing, and only one gets to tell their side of the story. This hurts. This creates a narrative in their head that their voice, story, and experiences are not as important as others. Maybe you are one of those people. Maybe you are someone that feels like their story has only existed in the confines of your mind. Your existence has only ever been validated by you. You probably tend to overshare and then feel a sense of guild when you realize it. You may have an internal monologue with yourself, but rarely share these thoughts and experiences with anyone. I imagine that the best story tellers, song writers, talk show hosts, podcasters, youtubers, and professional speakers are people that desire to be heard. Even if it is just for 3 minutes or 1,000 pages. We all want to be heard; we all want to feel heard. This is where a professional listener comes in. Take the time to just talk to someo...
